Wingtips - 4/29/2005
Not much to show here. Just installing the nutplates on the wingtips. The center hole is supposed to be countersunk for a #6 screw...unfortunately I don't have the required #27/#6 approx countersink. Well, I just got a hold of a #6 screw size countersink, but the nose doesn't fit down the nutplate to countersink the fiberglass, so I cut off the nose except for just a tiny nub. That worked great, and I was able to complete my wintip installation. None of the fiberglass is sanded and smoothed, but at least it's on. I'll be waiting until later to add my Nav lights, strobes, and finish with the bottom skins. Onto the Fuselage!
