Several items yesterday and today. 1st I replaced the transponder antenna with a blade type. Ed Hayden convinced me that it |
would be a better choice . I also installed a doubler inside of the tunnel before installing the new antenna. The next objective was |
to get the tunnel ready so I can close it up prior to installing the panel. I had a leak in an AN fitting in the right brake line where it |
exits the tunnel to the seat area. Un fortunately I leaked and ran along the spar and the rins. got some degreaser and paper |
towels and soap and went to work. But 1st I tightened the fitting, was able to turn 3 more 'faces' on the fittin gusing a modified |
9/16" wrench (access is tough!). I pumped the brakes several times and it appears the leak is sealed. I ordered some foam |
rubber insulation several months ago and I wrapped all of the 3/8" fuel lines in the tunnel to insulate them. I don't know if tunnel |
heat is really the big problem it was protrayed to be, but This should help keep the fuell cooler enroute to the engine. Then I cut |
and installed the scat tube to the respective forward and aft cabin vents. I also cut and securred more scat tube for the heat |
muffs. I need another 3 foot piece from the right muff to the valve and I'll be done with this. I'll pick some up tomorrow. Last thing |
accomplished today was I painted the inside of the baggage door and several of the aft cabin access panels to match the reest |
