| Last night I sanded all of the interior portions of the cowl modification. Cutting away the excess materila left over from the |
| replacement fairing and beveling the areas of the cowl where the paralam is/was. then I mixed some flox and trowled it into all |
| of the seams.voids/intersections and let it cure overnight. This am I sanded the flox so that I could apply the interior lay-ups. That |
| done, I applied 4 plys of 6 oz colth to the interior of the cowl, using the same crisscross approach as before. Put some peel ply |
| on the edges and then left it to cure. Turned the cowl over and put my attention to the exterior. First sanding the fiberglass |
| seams where it meets with the orig cowl to a smooth transition. Then gave the whole exterior a sanding , uncovered some voids |
| and leveled any hogh spots. then mixed several batched of SuperFil and trowled it on. It's pretty hot today (110) so it should set |
| up to pretty stiff in a couple of hours. We're going to a movie and when I get back I'll spread on another coat os SuperFil to let it |
| cure overnight so tomorrow, I can sand the exterior to final shape and possible shoot some primer on it. |
