Woohoo! Instrument Panel is iinstalled ! Late last night I rerouted the hobbs meter siwtch through the Probes and Sensors |
harness and over to the oil pressure switch. this a.m. I connected the Co-pilot Vent to the NACA intake w/ some scat. then I |
wired the 'defrost' fans. I had to readjust the heater control cables as they were too short from the firewall to the instrument |
panel, resulting in the 'insert' not seating well into the instrument sub-panel. Also some fine adjusting so that the heater controls |
close fully when flush with the instrument panel. did some more 'tyding-up' with tywraps etc. Then, pulled the radios out of the |
Casita and remounted them into the center stack. connected the batteries, pulled all of the breakers and tested the contactors, |
then began turning on each radio individually..... They worked !!!! Also the crossfeed works! How cool is that? Next step was to |
remount the EFIS units. put the pilot unit in with no problem, I had a previous problem with the co-pilot unit binding, which I |
believe ws related to the co-pilot subpanel not being flush/'in plane' which was putting a bind on the mounting frame & box. I |
ended up shimmying one of the corners with several washers. then mounted the Co-Pilot EFIS. I had to temporarily mount the |
center console electronics as they contain the switches for the EFIS & other Avionics. Powered everything up and Viola! I do |
however have an issue that needs to be trouble shot and that is the EIU trips the circuit breaker. ? ? |
