Spent the largest part of the day running around town looking for what should have been some cheep parts to make some temp |
power harnesses so I can hook this puppy up and test it. Someone bought up all of the 15 pin D sub famale connectors in PHX!. |
Later in the day. I finally got it all connected to a battery. But before doing so I Calibrated the Crossbow AHRS using their |
software program (to negate any iron in the vacinity) on the actual airframe using a notebook and their calibration software. Next |
I put the power to the circuit breakers and was relieved when I didn't see any smoke or sparks!!! One hurdle crossed. The next |
step is to configure the software in the EFIS/MFD for the various devices that it connects to. The SL 30 & SL 40 seem to be |
working w/ the EFIS just fine, I can tune freq's and control both the NAV and COM from either the radios themselves or the |
EFIS, and everything talks together. I still need to hook up some antennas and check out the radios standalone. Also need to |
check out the audio planel it was one of the most complex wiring challenges. The EFIS screens aren't seeing the AHRS and it's |
internal GPS, I've checked the wiring continuity and it's OK, so I must have a config problem. I'll call OP tomorrow and see what |
help they can provide. I also have a question on the autopilot configuration entries. |
