I finished up th eplumbing of the Oxygen system today. I first needed to figure out a conduit for the copper high pressure O2 line |
in the overhead console. I made a trip to Ace hdwr. and found some 3' sections of very thin-walled aluminum tubing. I picked p |
two of those and a shorter section (12" ) of Brass tubung that had an ID of 1/4" to use as a coupling. I also picked up some poly |
tubing that I cut into 2" sections and slipped over the 'conduit' to keep it from rattling/chaffing in the overhead. I previously made |
an opening in the aft bulkhead and placed a snap bushing in it. I was able to insert the conduit from the tailcone into the snap |
bushing and forward until it projected into the opening in the Overhead console. (where the O2 dist manifold is). I secured the |
conduit and threaded the high pressure copper tubing through it. I left about 4 ' of tubing in the overhead close out area and |
couild it to make it easier to connect/disconnect the distribution manifold. then I figured out the routing and connections to |
connect to the Main bottle and to connect the bottle to the refill port. I left 5" service loops in each of these connections. Refilling |
is going to require an access door in the bulkhead (similar to Robin Marks) or remounting the refill valve to the aft bulkhead. The |
alternative is to completely remove the upholstery covering and the aft bulkhead for refill. |
