Finishing some odds and ends today. I figured how I'm gong to install the CNC parts for the elevator trim tab cables. The holes |
don't match those in the plates, So, I positioned the CNC parts in the same position, marked the hole locations, and then match |
drilled and clecoed them. I'm going to install them w/ #6 screws, Initially I was going to use countersunk screws, but if I |
countersink the CNC parts, there's not enough material for good dege distance, So, I decided to just use round head screws and |
nylon lock nuts, so I final drilled everything to #27, and then filled the old holes, sanded flush & reprimed the plates. I cleaned up |
some fileing and sanding from when I filled the gap between the firewall and the cowl, Then I decided to mount the Rosen visors. |
Mounting them is not hard, but figuring out WHERE to mount them took a bit. I put a seat in the plane, and loosened up the |
fittings on the visor, so that I could try it in all configurations, to make sure It would clear the center support brace, while still |
providing the shade. I got the Pilot side located and mounted, and then throuhg a series of trial and error w/ judy's watch ful eye |
and some measurements, I tried to get the co-pilot located in the same Relative place. I think it came out pretty good. |
