| the doors and then remounted them to the fuse. It seems like every time I moun these buggers they fit differently, at least the left |

| door did this time, not a big deal but the latch mechanism was too tight. I want it on the tight side, as I figure it will loosen with |
|
| use, but this was too much. some careful filing and emery cloth and its now acceptable. Then I positioined the magnets inside of |
|
| the door latch pins and adjusted them for the Door Ajar warning lights. On 3 of the 4 doors I had to cut off some of the magnet |
|
| so that it worked right. A bunch of trial and error fittings. But I'm very happy in that they continue to show the door is open until |
|
| the latch moves into the 'over-center' position. i was worried that the handles might work themselves loos and open up in flight, |
|
| but I talked w/ Gary F. who is flying with the same handles and he didn't think it was necessary, After refitting these, i tend to |
|
| agree, if the handle should 'loosen' the door warning light will go On while there is still 1/8" of pin protruding throug the |
|
| intercostal. and that doesn'lt take into effect the Riverhead capture fixtures that add another 1/4- 5/16". BTW I really think the |
|
| Rivethead keepers ADD to the safety in that they help to guide/center the pins into the holes making it almost impossible to only |
