Today things went more smoothly albeit not a lot faster. Began today by wiring the magnetic sensors on the Right door. Routed |
wires across the tunnel to the Relays on the Left gear leg. I ran some continuity checks and it appeared everything was OK, |
Hooked it up to the Right Door relay and VIOLA!!! it works!!!!! Checked it by removing the magnets individually and it works per |
spec. Both Doors are now wired and tested. I still need to epoxy the magnets in, but will wait and do that when rehanging the |
doors. Next was to connect the new/replacement relay deck for the control grips. I had some concerns about routing the wires, |
and whether all of the wires would fit into the 'conduit between the tunnel. I temporarilly reinstalled the control sticks and routed |
the wires the way I intend to route them for final (I need to remove the control sticks for some interior and finishing work so I |
can't connect the ring terminals to them yet) I installed a siwtch to control which stick has the capability to control the trim motors. |
The switch is positioned on the pilot side on the forward closeout plate for the area under the pilot seat. I wired it so that only one |
of the sticks can control the trim servos at a time. powered it all up and tested the Hat switch functions for elevator trim for both |
sticks and they check out OK. I wired the aileron trim, and ran a test for both hat switches. The switchs work on both sticks, The |
LED indicators light and the relays are being activated, however the trim servo is not moving. Tomorrows task .... debug, |
