Finally some good news! I got a call from the airport on Wed pm. saying that they had found a hangar for me on the North side |
of the airport and If I could get moved before the weekend, I would avoid being locked out due to the repaving aroung th eold |
hangar. I found a friend and rented a U-haul and on thurs we got everything moved from the old to the new hangar, it's not put |
away or organized yet, but it's in its new /permanent home. I finished the rewiring necessary to install the mid seat rail supports |
and got the pilot side installed an 1/2 of the co-pilot. My good friend John Cox came down for the weekend for a visit and a trip to |
Copperstate. After picking him up we spent Fri. at the hangar, and I got an A&P lesson on torquing prop bolts. ("Step-torqued'!). |
We grabbed some grub w/ Judy and Parker in th epm and then headed off to Copperstate for Saturday. Copperstate is a bit |
unusuall as there is no air show, and the vendor presence is not as strong as at other shows. There were 4 Rv-10's there |
including Az's oqn David McNeil, and Bill De Rouchey. Myron Nelson put on an absolutely FABUULOUS Carne Asada BBQ a |
feed, which we all enjoyed as much as the opportunity to visit with 9-10 builders/pilots that showed up. Myron my hat is off to |
you! On the way back home we stopped at the hangar and Safety wired the prop bolts using .041" ss safety wire, 9Another A&P |
lesson at the hands of Master Cox ! |
