After Ed helped me pin the right Elevator in place, I returned today and installed new AN bolts/washers and nuts in the hinges. |
I'm ready to begin setting / adjusting the trim, but before I do that I need to do some remedial work on some electrical |
connectons located under the seat (which also control the stick grip functions). I had ignored / overlooked the installation of the |
mid reai seat supports and had installed a deck I fashioned to hold the door ajar relays. So I needed to remove the relay deck |
and set aside and then begine to figure out how to install the seat supports with a minimal amount of rewiring, The biggest issue |
is the pilot side wiring cluster, With the relay deck out of the way (and wires marked and diagramed for reinstallatioin) I began to |
splice in additional wire lengths to allow for the main wire bundle that runs from the fuse side to the control grip relay to pass |
behind the seat support. I modified tha aft end of the seat support to allow enough room for the wire bundle and no chaffing |
between it and the spar. I also added several tywraps to the bundel in that location to further protect the wires. I've still got to |
lengthen a couple more wires, install the seat support then reposition and reinstall the relay deck. When that's all done I can |
temporarily connect the center console trim and adjust the trim tabs for travel. |
