Not a lot to show for the past several days, but I left the camera aat home and didn't have pics tuil today. Monday, I started out |
by installing the rudder center support bracket, Paul G. didn't have these ready when he shipped the pedals, What he has fits |
beautifully! and only took 3op45 mins to install. Next I udes seom weedwacker line to measure lengths for new brake lines from |
Bonaco Inc. The Old lines are too long with the brake cyls moved to the back of the pedal. I also ordered them with black teflon |
to cover the stainless steel braid. Brett said he'd probaly have them out within a couple of days. Beleive me it took a lot more |
time crawliny up under the panel and measureing then it did to make the order!. I installed the new compass, the old one was |
panel mounted and fix ata a 'canted' angle giving erroneous readings. Again the wiring for the light took more time than installing |
the compass. I finished up connecting the redone tunnel fuel lines to the extensions that gconnect to the wing tanks, Got a |
couple gallons of AV fuel, disconnected the fuel line from the firewall to the mech fuel pump, and then ran several gallons of fuel |
lthrough each tank (R&L) checking for any fuel leaks in any of the fittings/couplings in the tunnel or under the seats. GOOD |
NEWS NO LEAKS!!!!!. When the new brake lines and hardware get here, I'll redo those (URGH!!!) and then re-bleed the brakes |
and check again for any leaks in brake fittings. The last item is to fashion som gust locks/ rudder trim ala Bill De Rouchey, and |
then should be able to close the tunnel. |
