One step forward, one step back today. I got the Throttle cable installed, turned out to not be that big of an issue: I remembered |

something in the plans about fabbing a clamp for a hose, and decided to make a version of it to clamp the throttle cable to one of |
|
the induction tubes. The 1st version of the bracket included a nutplate, but it set too high and interferred with the bottom of the oil |
|
sump. So I remade the angle bracket w/o the nutplate and drilled a #12 hole for an AN3 bolt and nut. I also bent the end up so |
|
that the ss expandable clamp around the induction tube won't vibrate/slip off. I picked up some rubber gasket material from ACE |
|
and warped the inside of the ss expansion clamp with it. I reversed the Throttle arm and that allows for the proper operation of |
|
the throttle (i.e. PUSH opens/full and PULL closes). I got a 1" alum spacer from ACE and it works perfectly, I need to pick up the |
|
right length AN3 bolt tomorrow. Started to install the Fuel purge valve, but UNFORTUNATELY I found that the cable was 11" too |
|
long, I had used weedwacker line to measure, but it was before I had all the other 'stuff' installed, and the 'stuff' has changed the |
|
routing. So... A Call to ACS and special order a 63" button lock control cable (4 weeks). Then on to the Filtered/Ram air. Tried |

various orientations of the canister, also "reclocked" the control lever to the left side, which will allow for the best operation. Th |

travel to equal the control cable throw. |
