The kids have returned to their homes/school so I was able to get back into the garage this afternoon for a bit. First I finished up |
the hinges on the upper fwd fuse. I found out I had the left hinge one hole off so I had to drill it off and rivet it. There were a |
couple of rivets that were setting a little too proud, so drilled them and replaced them with Opps rivets. then began on the nose |
gear fairing. same process as for the main only there's only one of them ! and no intersection fairings. Sanded the too halves |
and match drilled them together marked the centerlines. Then deburred and primed the brackets. Hacksawed the alum spacer |
blocks and primed them. Taped the 7/8" spacer to the wheel, and mounted the right bracket. Had to trim the wheel opening a |
little in order to get the fiberglass pant on. Then inserted the left bracket and leveled the rear fairing |
