Drilled the Main gear axels for the cap nut's then fabricated the nut extensions for both gear for the wheel pant mounting. |

Mounted the Nose Gear leg assembly WD-1017, then attached the Nose gear fork assembly. The plans say to tighten the nut |
that attaches the nose fork until there's a 'breakout force" of 26 lbs. the problem is that it's a castle nut and in order to get the |
holes to align with the cotter pin holes you have to chose between 10-15 lbs and 60-70 llbs ( I went with the lighter, and hopefully |
will remember to check it again when the two cupped washers have a chance to wear somewhat and loosen.) There were some |
horror stories reported about difficulty in getting the Elastomer dounut compressed enough to get the Collar Assembly bolted in |

place. I used a tip from someone on the board about using some tie-down straps between the nose fork and the engine mount |
and ratcheting them down until the holes aligned, --- worked like a charm! Thanks for the tip!, The only thing left to do is to attach |
the brakes and brake lines tomorrow. PS. I was short two AN5 washers that I'll pick up tomorrow, and I also need to torque an |

AN7 bolt 450-500 " lbs (need to borrow a bigger torque wrench. Boy it's sure nice to be working on something other than |
