Continued with the interior door unholstery panel lay-up. Poped the Left side panel off of teh door and proceeded to trim it to final |
dimensions. Applied Duct tape to the right door and then did the 2 ply lay-up's on it. I on;y went with 2 ply's for weight |
considerations, However 2 plys end up being a bit thin, it will serve the purpose its intended for very well, but it makes handling |
along the way a little delicate. perhaps 3 plys would be a good compromise. I tried cut out a scrap from some headliner material |
and wrapped it around the panel to get an idea if this was going to work, It looks good particularly considering that the fabric |
can't be pulled tight and glued just yet. I think this is going to give the doors the finished look I'm looking for. I'l let the right door |
cure tonight and then sand it to final tomorrow and then we can begin on mounting the windows to the doors. I've been really |
intimidated by this step (windows). there's an alternate method using micro and glass tape that I'm considering vs the Weld-on. |
