While PAt was home from school I pressed him into service for a rivet bucking session. I had delayed final riveting of the upper |
fwd fuse until I had all of the firewall and sub-panel wiring figured out. It turns out that most of the holes are already drilled, and |
that delaying any longer only postpones needing to find a goo flexible rivet bucker. So Pat got the honors, and with his help we |
got all of the rivets on both sides that join the upper fwd fuse to the fuse, and also the AN4 rivets that join the 3 ribs to the |
firewall, I was concerned that due to the Faux firewall, I might end up putting some good sized 'smilies' on the firewall, but that |
didn't happen. I was also worried that we might not be able to get to all of them due to the engine mount being installed, but, |
while a couple required driving them at an angle with the swivel head flush set, we were able to get to them all. When that was |
done I finished riveting the fws portion of the upper fwd fuse skin to the firewall and the cowl attach hinges. |
