| Finished off Sec 38. Began with the rudder cable fairings on the tailcone. when I installed them I installed then INSIDE of the |
| skin, they looked great, however someone pointed out that I might have an interference problem when it came time to install the |
| rudder cable.... They were right..... so, I drilled off the fairings and moved them to the outside of th skin, I figure I can smooth |
| them w/ Bondo and accompliish the appearance objective. All this added time to this step. I enlisted Torey to scooch back into |
| the tailcone and help in threading the cables through the snap bushings. THANKS Torey! (I never would have fit back there |
| myself!) the rest was pretty straight forward, I was surprised at how long the whole thing took today. I didn't make the final |
| connection to the rudder pedals, as I'm not happy with the way the links that I fabed turned out, so I'll need to come back and |
| make that last connection when I get some new 4130 chromolly. The rudder cable guides bind the cable fairly tight, it moves, but |
| with some resistance, Not sure if this is OK, may have to open -up the guide holes somewhat. |
