Started on the Tailcone attach, I've been down with a whopper of a cold for the past week and 1/2. Didn't even want to work on |
the plane for several days. Think I've got it licked today. I've been a little intimidated about this section, as it is sort of a mojor |
event, and I expected some difficulty in alligning everything, Well it was much ado about nothing. Once again the match hole |
technology proves it's self, and although the major assemblies are built independently, miraculously ALL of the holes line-up. I |
helped Andrew Rayhall join his fuse and tailcone last week, And learned that as long as you have the 2 sections properly aligned |
they go together fairly easily. I built a QED support out of some scrap lumber to support the forward end, and then shimmed both |
ends to get the proper angle and height the rest was easy. (well mostly) |
