Today was the Dimple Derby! After dimpling some of the bulkheads and ribs on the Fuse, the focus turned to the skins |
themselves. yep, you know the drill, deburrrrrrrrrrr, holes and edges, scotchbrite, then dimple. With 4 skins this took longer than I |
expected. I actually thought I'd have some time to begin priming, but that didn't happen, in fact, I had to knock off a little early for |
a meeting, and need to finish dimpling the last skin tomorrow morning. My Cogsdill 3/32 deburrer isn't working right, I don't know |
if it's s problem with the thickness of the material on the skins or if the tool itself is malfunctioning, the spring loaded blade isn't |
expanding and retracting like it should, and therefore isn't doing the job, so the bulk of today was done, the 'old fashion way'. It |
took it apart and tried cleaning it, but I think it's just worn to the point of needing to be replaced. Oh Well, hopefully I'm nearing |
the end of the really big sheetmetal work portion of the project. (Famous last words huh?) |
