Primed all of the parts that attach to the Fuselage, then bagan the riveting process. I was able to squeeze some of them across |
the bottom stiffener, but the rest required back riveting, For some reason, I had some difficulty getting the rivets to sit flush, I |
ended up drilling out several, i finally found out that the problem was that I wasn't being carefule enough with the rest of the |
structure, anbd clecos, ot the firewall flange were binding of causing some torque so that the parts didn't lay , flat, afte drilling out |
way too many rivets, I finally, slowed down and checked to make sure that there wasn't anything bostruction the flush set |
between the part and the back rivet plate, and things went much better. Also this is an area where the SMALL back rivet plate |
works much better than the large one, I Also found the despite having to turn the firewall back and forth loading & taping rivets |
then back riveting, it worked much better to only work a small area (4-6 rivets) at a time. This ended up taking longer than I |
planned, but that seems to be the story of my build. Oh well.... the next project will go quicker!!!!! |
