Installed the Right Fuel Tank to the wing/spar assembly. Began by deburrung dimpling all of the #8 screw holes, the plans say to |
use the C-frame for a better dimple, but with the tanks already assembled, there is no way to do that, I experimented with a |
sample .032 scrap and got the pneu squeezer to get Very close to the same result. Judy was out running around this AM so I |
was able to wrestle the tank into position under the cradle, and proped it up with some parts bins and was able to get a screw |
into 1st one corner and the an opposite one, I found that rather than trying to get all of the #8 screws in that it was better to put in |
th AN 4-4 bolts, as those snug up the tank and draw it really tight against the OBLE. This is where you really appreciate the |
beauty of this match drill, and pre-punched process, when you build all of these parts seperately and then assemble them |
together and there's not a whisker too much or too little room, it's truely amazing just how accurate this process is even |
considering there are No jigs!!!!!, Torques all of the bolts, applied Blue Torque-Seal. |
