Install Aft Tank Baffle and attach zee's for LEFT tank. The end of Pro-Seal is in sight! I had a minor incident when one of the |
pop rivets broke the stem mid-way through the pull. it ended up jamming the pop-puller. A quick trip to Ace hardware for |
another puller, and then finished up attaching the zee's. I took the dremel cutoff tool and cut the stem flush with the rivet head, I |
hope that it's pulled tight enough for a seal, drilling it out and leaving rivet bits rattleing around the tank, didn't seem like the |
right thing to do. I'll be happy to see the end of PS, It seems to make the job 3 time longer, what with the stop to wipe the goop |
off, clean up the tool, clean off the cleco's, clean off the hands, repeat all of the above about 100 times, I've gone through 1 1/2 |
galons of Acetone, and 1/4 galon of MEK, and about 3-4 rolls of paper towels so far. I've gotten to the point that I can't even |
smell the fumes (probably a sign that I'm burning too many brain cells in the process). All in all I'm really happy with the way the |
Left tank came out, I don't think I'll have any leaks but I'll wait 2-3 weeks before testing to make sure everything is cured well. |
